Things to know when leaving a message or question in the ask box:

1. Every answer is my [attempt at an informed] opinion.

2. Please put a trigger warning on your question if necessary. For guidelines on what might require a trigger warning, click here.

3. I will not answer every question I get. If I have answered it before, or one very similar to it, I will likely delete yours. Feel free to browse the Answers section and you might find what you’re looking for.

4. It may take me anywhere from 5 minutes to 3 weeks to answer your question. Patience is a virtue ;)

5. Are you a troll? Get back under your bridge. No seriously, go away.

6. I will not answer medical questions. I am not a doctor, expert, clinical sexologist, or anyone else more qualified than your average high school graduate that likes to read about sex. If possible, see a physician. Or check out scarleteen.com for a lot of information from professionals (I wasn’t asked to say that and I don’t endorse them or whatever, I just think they have a lot of very valuable informative content).

7. Still feel like trolling? I don’t recommend it.

8. Legally I cannot give advice of a sexual nature to minors (under 18 in most areas). If need be you can refrain from mentioning your age, as in all honesty it is irrelevant to most questions. You deserve honest information.

9. I don’t promote other blogs unless I really like them and discover them on my own. I will not respond to random requests.

10. I will not answer questions that I feel I am unqualified to answer (see number 6). I will also likely delete rude or unhelpful questions/messages.

10. I really appreciate your praise/friendly messages/story sharing/excitement about sex or my blog! Thank you so much for all your compliments and words of encouragement. I read all of them, but I don’t publish them all because I don’t want to flood the dashboard. I am sincerely thankful for each and every one of you, and each message I receive. <3
